Though the morning assembly lasts for a short span of about 10 minutes, it acts as an oasis of peace at the start of the academic routine every day. It helps foster a sense of belonging to the institution. Important announcements are made, and students are celebrated for their achievements.
This gathering of faculty members and students prior to the commencement of the academic day acts as a motivating factor for both, helping them navigate the day with poise and composure.
At Nalanda PU College, celebrations bring students and staff together, creating a vibrant and joyful campus atmosphere. From cultural festivals and national events to special occasions and college festivities, every celebration encourages participation, creativity, and togetherness. These memorable moments help students appreciate traditions, strengthen friendships, and make their college journey truly special.
Co-curricular activities are effectively integrated with the academic curriculum to maintain a balanced approach towards holistic development. Inter-house competitions such as dramatics, drawing, quizzes, spelling bee, recitation, declamation, and debate are interwoven into the academic calendar throughout the year.
At Nalanda, students are encouraged to build both physical strength and mental discipline through Yoga and Karate. Daily yoga practice helps improve flexibility, focus, breathing, and inner balance through guided asanas and mindfulness exercises. Students begin with gratitude and end with relaxation, creating a calm and positive mindset. Alongside yoga, karate training develops confidence, self-discipline, courage, and self-defense skills. Nalanda’s karate champions have brought pride to the institution by excelling in national-level competitions. Together, yoga and karate create a strong foundation for a healthy body, sharp mind, and confident personality.
