‘Leaders are not born but made’. In our fervent attempt to sculpt the students of Nalanda as nation builders, student leaders were invested in an elegant ceremony on 13th July 2019. The Chief guest, Mr. K S Devaiah President of Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan, Madikeri made his presence eminent by administering the oath of office to the elected leaders along with respective house captains.
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 1st November as a mark of respect to the cultural heritage of Karnataka.
Yoga embodies the unity of mind and body and is considered a holistic approach to health and well-being. The students of Nalanda Gurukula International Public School celebrated the 'International Yoga Day' on 21st of June with great enthusiasm. A special assembly was organized to commemorate the occasion, along with demonstrations by the students of the various asanas which are beneficial for students to overcome stress, anxiety and to improve concentration.
World Environment Day
The Students and staff of Nalanda Gurukula International Public School organised activities to celebrate the World Environment Day. As part of this initiative, the students planted saplings in and around the campus. Children were made aware of the challenges the environment faces. The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students and staff about various environmental issues and find ways to implement simple solutions at school.
Independence Day & Chairman’s Birthday
The 73rd Independence Day was commemorated with patriotic fervor which was portrayed by the students in the cultural events. Chairman Sri. SLN Sathappan presided over the function. The birthday celebration of our beloved Chairman on this auspicious day was harmoniously blended with jubilation and unconditional love of the students in the form of Birthday wishes and greetings.
The Teacher’s day was celebrated on September 5th by the students expressing their abundant love and affection towards the teaching fraternity followed by a Staff outing to KRS dam. The Management expressed their benevolence as a fitting reward to the selfless contribution of the teaching faculty by their magnanimous gesture of organizing a 4 day international tour to Colombo.
The Management expressed their benevolence as a reciprocation of the selfless work contributed by the Teaching Faculty by organizing a staff tour by flight to Mumbai.
Sports day celebrated at NGIPS on 18th of September 2017 speaks for the commitment that all of us in the school holds for the sport. We witnessed the athletic performance of the highest quality, where students of the four houses of our school competed with each other in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play and took this opportunity to come closer to each other.
The students and teachers of Nalanda Gurukula International Public School celebrated the Children's day - birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, along with Karnataka state day with utmost joy and excitement.
The Children’s day amalgamated with Kanakadasa Jayanthi, was celebrated in all grandiose with a spectrum of cultural flavor and a fascinating dance drama.

Nalanda inscribed its 9th Annual day celebration in a flamboyant manner on 24th November 2017. Bro. Augustine Novello, the Correspondent and Vice Principal of Mont Fort School, Yercaud, Tamil Nadu, belonging to the world renowned Society of Gabriel was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The cultural extravaganza which followed the prize distribution ceremony was a feast to the eyes, enthralling a mammoth audience.
